Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith has congratulated Eric Easterbrook on his appointment as President of Sydney Legacy.
Mr Easterbrook, of Penrith, has been involved with Legacy since 1981 and with Nepean Legacy since 1983. He has served with Sydney Legacy’s Family Welfare Committee for the past five years and has been a Director and Vice President for the past four years.
Mr Easterbrook said Legacy supports more than 4500 widows in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
“We also support children, from a newborn through to tertiary students, who have lost a parent during or after their operational or war service and people with a disability who were dependent on a Defence Force veteran. We continue to assist people with a disability for life.’
Mr Easterbrook is sure that there are many former Legacy children in the Western Area of Sydney and would like to hear from them with the aim of them re-joining Legacy as a volunteer Legatee. He would also like to hear from current and former Defence personnel who would like to assist Legacy in its unique work of supporting the families of Service personnel who have given their health or their lives.
