Nepean Creative & Performing Arts High School

Nepean High is a great local school with a bright future ahead.

It wasn't that long ago when the then-Premier Nathan Rees announced the school as a creative and performing arts high - but provided no additional resources.

Shortly after being elected I was approached by the Parents and Citizens Association at Nepean High and together we campaigned for the construction of a creative and performaning arts centre to support this new role for the school.

It is my pleasure to note that the NSW Government is now committed to providing this centre and the school community will no longer be adversely afftected through the specialist role allocated by the previous government to this school. This centre has been listed as an action item within the 2011/12 Budget.

Why should they be given extra funding for the creative arts students when they treat the local students without respect, discriminate against them, provide no motivation or encouragement and like crap. Maybe the government should focus on local studens first, As nepean high teachers would call them "no hopers".
