$23,000 to Benefit Heritage IN Penrith

Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today announced that heritage in the electorate of Penrith is set to benefit from $23,000 in grants under the NSW Government Heritage Grants Program.

 

Stuart Ayres said these grants would help local communities across NSW to know, value and care for heritage.

 

“I am pleased to announce that Penrith City Council will receive a Small Heritage grant of $11,000 and $12,000 towards Heritage Advisor Services.

 

“Our local heritage brings benefit to all the community, enriching our lives, improving our wellbeing and helping to stimulate the local economy.”

 

Deputy Mayor, Tricia Hitchen said receiving grants such as these ensure our connection to Penrith’s long and fascinating history is preserved

 

Minister responsible for Heritage Don Harwin said, “These grant projects will help ensure that our heritage is conserved and maintained for future generations. We want to actively engage communities in understanding and promoting the fascinating stories of our state.”

 

The 2021-23 grants will see $5.5 million awarded to over 220 projects statewide across three categories: Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, Caring for State Heritage and Community Heritage.
