Residents in the Mulgoa and Penrith electorates can now make an appointment for help to access more than 40 NSW Government rebates and savings from around 12 separate agencies under the one roof.

Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres and Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies said the Cost of Living service is now live at the Penrith, Liverpool and Mt Druitt Service NSW Centres.

“The cost of living is a pressure faced by many families in western Sydney. For many the cost of raising a family, paying household bills and covering car costs leaves little money to spare,” Tanya Davies said.

“The NSW Government’s new Cost of Living service will make it easier for families and individuals to potentially save hundreds of dollars. Now people can find all the rebates available to them and claim them on the spot,” Tanya Davies said.

Stuart Ayres said “People can already access cost of living programs online, but sometimes it helps to have someone talk through what a customer may be eligible for and that’s where Service NSW can help.”

“A family with two children could find savings of more than $800 if they’re eligible for the Family Energy Rebate, Active Kids vouchers, CTP Green Slip refund and free rego through the Toll Relief program,” Stuart Ayres said.

“Pensioner concession card holders could be eligible for savings of almost $1100 if they’re eligible for the Low Income Household Energy Rebate, CTP Green Slip refund, Appliance Replacement Offer, Pensioner Water Rebate and free rego for pensioners.”

126,589 CTP Green Slip refunds have been claimed so far in the Penrith and Mulgoa electorates, which is a total of $8,879,539 worth of savings for people across the region.

Additionally, more than $1,083,428 in free vehicle registration has been claimed by 2,539 people across the two electorates as part of the Toll Relief program.

Other rebates and savings include Fair Go for Safe Drivers, Active Kids, Return and Earn scheme and many more.
