Cambridge Gardens Public School to Receive Security Fencing/upgrade

Cambridge Gardens PS

Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today joined students, parents and staff at Cambridge Gardens Public school to announce that they will benefit from the record investment in school infrastructure with the NSW Government announcing that funding has been committed for security fencing upgrades at the school.

The project is part of the Department of Education’s Security Initiatives Program announced in the 2021/22 NSW Budget.

Stuart Ayres said the funding will provide Cambridge Gardens Public School with 700 metre perimeter fencing and CCTV cameras to improve safety of students, staff and visitors during and after school hours, and better protect the school facilities.

“This government is working hard right across the state to improve the infrastructure at our local schools, with funding for significant upgrades to student and staff facilities, security upgrades, outdoor space and improvements to accessibility,” Stuart Ayres said.

Education Minister Sarah Mitchell said that schools are better funded under the NSW Government than ever before.

“Children from preschool, right through to primary and high school will benefit from this year’s $21.5 billion education budget.

“With this budget, we are building on our long-term commitment to taking care of existing schools and providing students and teachers with the very best educational facilities,” Ms Mitchell said.
