Premier’s Awards for Excellence

Member for Penrith, Stuart Ayres MP has welcomed the announcement by NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell, the opportunity for the Penrith community to consider nominating a local teacher, nurse or police officer for the annual Premier’s Awards for Public Service which opened today.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise excellent local contributions and achievements of high calibre individuals and high quality organisations in Penrith that deliver public services to NSW businesses and the local community,” Mr Ayres said.

“These awards will recognise excellence in the delivery of public services in Penrith by the public sector, other non-government organisations and business.

“It’s essential we honour individuals who work hard every day to deliver the services people in Penrith and across NSW rely on.”

The public can nominate individuals or organisations delivering public services for the following two Premier’s Awards:

  • Individual Excellence and Achievement, awarded to public sector employees for exceptional levels of customer service and innovation.
  • Excellence in Public Service Delivery, awarded to organisations and their employees who are external to the NSW Government and have provided excellent public services on behalf of the Government.

\”I encourage all Penrith residents to consider nominating a local employee or organisation who has provided them with an outstanding public service and made them feel confident in the services they were providing \” Mr Ayres said.
