Nepean Police Area Command (Nepean PAC) has welcomed seven new police officers at a special ceremony paying tribute to the ‘Classes of 2020’.

The NSW Police Force Attestation Parade was held at the Sydney Cricket Ground to officially welcome four classes of graduating officers in front of friends and family members.

Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith welcomed the newest recruits to the Penrith region.

“The Nepean Police Area Command has been lucky to welcome 35 new recruits this year, including seven in the most recent attestation, who have been a boost to public safety during a time when they have been most needed,” Minister Ayres said.

Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP congratulated the recruits on completing their training during this challenging year.

“Police put their lives on the line every day to protect our community and I thank each of these officers for choosing to join the Force,” Mrs Davies said.

“I welcome them to their new command and congratulate them on completing their training during unusual circumstances.”

The NSW Government has already committed $583 million to introduce 1500 extra Police over four years and recently announced a $60 million upgrade to Goulburn Police Academy.

The recruits have completed eight months of foundational training and those allocated to Nepean PAC reported to their stations on Monday 7 December 2020.
